Worldwide Brands and Salehoo Compared

There are already a very large number of comprehensive Worldwide Brands reviews written by both members and affiliates, so in this post I’m going to do something different.  I’m going to briefly talk about both Worldwide Brands and Salehoo, and then compare them to one another.  There are similarities, but more importantly two crucial differences between these directories.

Worldwide Brands is the largest and oldest of the two directories of certified wholesalers and drop shippers – it has more than 9,000 suppliers in total and about 15 million products are available to purchase at trade prices from them.  Membership is, of course, the most expensive – at $249 for lifetime access to the directory, forums, support and product research tools.

Salehoo is smaller and newer, but it has some extra features as well that help to compensate for this.  Salehoo has about 8,000 suppliers from around the world and from them there are around 2.5 million products that you can search through and buy in the members area.  Membership to Salehoo costs $67 per year and, like with Worldwide Brands, this includes access to the directory, forums, support and product research tools.  In addition to this, Salehoo also offers some basic tutorials about selling online.

The key differences are the number of products and the cost of membership.  Salehoo starts off cheaper, but the annual fees add up to more than the lifetime fee for Worldwide Brands after about four years.  Worldwide Brands has many more products too – so although it starts off as the most expensive, it probably offers better long term value for money.
